From time to time I have written about value and how value is created for the clients we do business with. The above graph represents value in a some what different format, yet it is about value and measures value by number of users at different stages of ages instead of dollars.
As you study the graph it becomes clear that as history progressed from the “industrial age” to “extreme collaboration” you reach a higher level of value and one’s collaboration becomes more persuasive with a larger number of people.
If in fact this graph represents an age in which we now live, then we should ask the question, what vehicle or vehicles should be used to deliver value with extreme collaboration and be as persuasive as possible with a global user’s environment.
The answer to the question is obvious, the World-Wide-Web. Any business not taking full advantage of this global reach vehicle, and the tools surrounding this vehicle, will not be competitive, and I dare say within a year or two, will not be in business.
I make the bold assertion that within a year or two those business will not be viable is because as we extend our reach, whether horizontally or vertically in the “net-sphere” is dependent upon our adeptness. Again the vehicle for future business success is our ability to inform, influence or direct the global positions of customers, clients and competitors (nations as well) is driven exponentially by the amount and quality of information that people will respond on some level to whether emotionally or economically.
